There are many reasons my people may take to alcohol to a degree that may exceed what some may consider 'social'. One of the most common reasons for abusing alcohol is to escape from feelings that are conflicting and troublesome. Dependence on alcohol is purely illusional in that the state created over prolonged over-use, or even the state created during 'binge drinking' - feels to the drinker to be more palatable that the reality experienced when not under the influence. Unfortunately though, all that is happening is that the alcohol user is escaping from a reality (feelings) that need to be faced up to in order to be free from compulsive feelings to drink. From treating clients, I commonly experience two key types of drinker. Those that 'binge drink' and those that abuse alcohol on a more ongoing basis (alcoholism). Treatment for Binge DrinkingBinge drinking is often carried out in order to feel more comfortable in social situations. This type of drinking lowers inhibitions and will quite often completely, although temporarily give the appearance of a complete change of character. People who binge drink could be considered to have social anxiety which is characterized by general shyness and worry about what other people think. Pure hypnoanalysis is the very best form of therapy to help people who binge drink because it aims to resolve the bottled up emotions that are causing the feelings that people who binge drink aim to avoid when in social situation. Once these bottle up emotions are resolved, the client will find that he/she finds there is no need to drink excessively any more because he/she will feel perfectly calm and confident in situations that would have previously needed the crutch of alcohol. Treatment for Alcohol Abuse and AlcoholismPeople who use alcohol on a regular basis as a crutch to escape from unwanted feelings inside risk becoming alcoholics, whereby a complete dependence on alcohol occurs. The problems with alcohol abuse lead into family problems, and will often lead to a spiral of destruction whereby the alcohol itself distances the person from the very feelings that need to be resolved in order to end this cycle. Furthermore, this destructive cycle will ultimately lead the drinker into negative feelings such as those of rejection, being unwanted, being isolated and alcohol will often allow for anger to be expressed in ways that would otherwise be controlled. Would you like help to overcome problems with alcohol?I have successfully treated people with significant alcohol problems using Pure Hypnoanalysis because I have helped them resolve the bottled up emotions that they were using alcohol to avoid.
